Water makes up approximately 70% of the human body, making it one of the most crucial building blocks of what dictates our health on a day-to-day basis. From regulating our body temperature, to flushing out harmful toxins from the body, the role that water plays in our overall health should not be taken lightly. Though we do not often take time to think about the water that we put into our bodies, it is important to note that water does much more than merely provide us with necessary hydration.
Numerous global research findings suggest that the water we drink can also have a significant role in our diet. Most common bottled drinking water has a near neutral pH of 6-7, with a lower pH indicating a higher level of acidity and a higher pH indicating a more alkaline water. Although water with a neutral pH is perfectly sufficient for keeping you hydrated, it has little effect on helping you to maintain a healthy, well-balanced pH when taking diet into consideration.
